Questions and uniform items
Parents,
I have noticed that most of the email inquires are about items that have been previously
addressed. Please review previous emails and the unit web site before sending emails or making calls. This
is the same process I must follow before contacting Young Marine Headquarters coupled with getting permission from the Division 2
Commander through the Battalion and Regimental Commanders.
All uniforms will be issued
at the end of drill this Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at approximately 8:30 pm providing you have made your payment in full and
the items are in stock.
Jackets for the 2011-01 Recruit class will be issued before the Fall (approximately
during October 2011).
Your consideration and attention in this matter is greatly
appreciated.

Events – Check the unit calendar for events and information. There are events on
the calendar through December 2011 to allow you sufficient time to plan to attend.
·
Emails/Phone Calls – Please ensure you review the unit’s web site before sending an email or calling.
Usually these items occur during normal business hours and all of the staff has full time jobs. We
will respond as quickly as our schedule permits with work, family, college and other personal responsibilities.

Dues (quarterly) - $15.00 for one Young Marine and $21.00 for two or more Young Marines for July, August
and September. All payments are due no later than Wednesday, June 15, 2011.
·
No Drill – Wednesday, June 8 Payments
for dues, trips and Silver Diner gift cards will be accepted from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. No business will
be conducted after 7:00 pm due to a staff meeting.

Evening Parade, Friday, June 10, 2011- See
the Unit Calendar for additional information and thank you for your great response to my email for Young Marines to attend.

North Brentwood Day, Saturday, June 18, 2011 – See the Unit Calendar for additional information and RSVP by noon Wednesday, June 8, 2011 to umym@umym.org. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from this event.

Bowie Bay Sox, Wednesday, July 06, 2011 –
Your payment for tickets are due Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Tickets are $7.00, parents and guests are welcome
to attend. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from this event.

Fishing trip, Saturday, July 16, 2011, 1:30 pm – 8:00 pm – $90.00 per person, $25.00 deposit due ASAP. See the Unit Calendar for additional
information.

Parris Island and Myrtle Beach, S.C., Monday
– Saturday, August 8 – 13, 2011.- Final payment
due June 15, 2011

Re-registration, Wednesday, July 20, 2011 – The re-registration cost is $20.00 per Young Marine (including recruit
class 2011-01)

Swim qualifications – Date and time to be determined.

If you have questions or payments for the Adjutant and/or Paymaster, please meet in the upstairs classroom
at after 7 pm.
Please do not contact them in the parking lot or hallways per the Unit Commander. Thank

in the subject line) - Orders will only
be accepted through email.

placed without payment.
