We are not a Scared Straight or Summer program.
At Upper Marlboro Young Marines we pride ourselves in the contribution to youth and community wellbeing. We believe that by sharing common values we can increase the opportunity of each individual in the community.
Young Marine units are community-based programs lead by dedicated adult volunteers. Many of these volunteers are parents with and without military experience, former, retired, active duty or reserve Marines who believe passionately that the values they learned as Marines had a positive affect on them. It is through these caring adults that Young Marines learn the inner values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. Don't just stand on the sideline get engaged in your community by becoming a Vounteer.
Visit our Contact and Join Us pages for more information about how your child can become a Young Marine!
All interested youth must attend and complete a 8-12 week boot camp session.
